So in my Beauty Products Worth the Hype blog I talked about how amazingly awesome quality Sigma brushes are. I still hold true to that; however, I have found a new, CHEAPER, amazing quality brush brand. If you didn't already know by the title, its ECOTOOLS! Ecotools is a brand that is known for cruelty free and recycled makeup brushes. May I just say they have some of the best quality brushes ever! Recently I tried the Six Piece Eye Set..........and here is my review on it!
Description:
This brush set makes it easy to complete any eye look.
Use the large eye brush to blend a base eyeshadow over the entire eyelid.
The angled crease brush adds definition to the outer crease of your eye, while the petite eye shading brush is perfect for an accent color.
Use the highlighting brush to accentuate the brow bone and inner corners of the eye.
Complete the look with the smudge brush by smudging the shadow and liner along the lash line for a smoky finish.
My thoughts:
I absolutely adore this set. I use it every single time I wear eyeshadow. However, some of the brushes I use a different way then they were made to be used.
Highlighting Brush- The highlighting brush works best as a blending brushes! They say to use it as a highlighting brush, but as a blending brush it blends smoothly and perfectly without wiping the colors away. Its definitely one of my favorite blending brushes out there. However, I do really like it for highlighting my brow bone as well.
Large Eye Brush- This is perfect to do what its made to do. It does an amazing job at picking up the product and putting the product onto the eye. Its perfect for the base color of the eye, because its so big and simple to just sweep this from your lid to your browbone.
Smudge Brush- I use the smudge brush to smudge my liner and bring eyeshadow to my lower lash line. It has the perfect amount of denseness to it, that it will smudge the liner perfectly. Also, I like to use this to swipe eyeshadows under the lower lashline, the small dome shape makes it perfect for this. This is also a good brush to use when your drawing a V shape in your crease to deepen up your eye look.
Angle Crease Brush- I was a little leery about this crease definer brush, because I haven't really seen a lot this big. However, I ended up liking it A LOT. It gives you the perfect defining look!
Petite Shading Brush- This brush is meant to use to put an accent color on the lid. However, I really like using this for highlighting your inner tear duct area. Its tiny, perfect shape fits right in your tear duct region and highlights beautifully. Another thing I enjoy using this for, is when I put a highlighter in the center of my lid for brightening. Again the small brush works perfectly for this.
So, as you can probably tell I am head over heels in love with this brush set! Ecotools is one of my favorite brush brands! The brushes are such good quality, I would think they were double the price. Just take a guess to see how much this set was............................................. 8$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its practically a steal, and the brushes are so extremely soft and gentle to your skin! Also, they don't shed at all! Not to mention they are good for the environment!
